Projects for the Elementary School Kids:
- Sand Mold Carving & Aluminum Casting - Grades 3-6, 2-week program combining art and STEM concepts. Students will learn about patterns, metal casting, molds, and art and engineering history while watching our team utilize cutting edge bio-foundry furnace to melt metal... using just waste veggie oil! This program teaches about environmental issues, and how we can still make cast metal art responsibly!
Projects for the Middle Schoolers:
- Louis Nevelson Bluebird house - Grades 6-8 , 2-week program where students learn basic woodworking skills, how to use a drill, screwdrivers, and how to build a structure. The finished pieces will resemble the dynamic sculptural genius of American artist Louise Nevelson. This project touches on the concepts of relief, pattern, assemblage, and color theory.
Projects for High School:
